NEW YORK-Calvin Klein Home is designing and styling the VIP Lounge for Collective Design’s 2015 fair, which takes place here next month. The fair, which features collectible designed from the start of the 20th century to today, will be open from May 13-17 at Skylight Clarkson Sq in SoHo.
Calvin Klein Home will provide furniture from the Calvin Klein Curator Collection that will be featured in several seating areas. A neutral palette of textiles on the upholstered pieces, adorned with pillows in fabrics from the women’s Calvin Klein Collection offering, set the tone. Calvin Klein Home’s new line of rugs will delineate the various seating areas of the 1,300-square-foot lounge, and decorative objects from the brands’ Artisan collection will be styled within the exposed walnut bookshelves. Artwork provided by New York-based artist Miya Ando is featured along one of the lounge’s walls, and the space will also feature exclusive ceramic vessels created for Calvin Klein Home by Alexander Matisse, great grandson of the famed French artist.
“Collective Design celebrates the very best in design; something we aspire to do every day at Calvin Klein Home,” said Amy Mellen, creative director of Calvin Klein Home. “We are honored to design this year’s VIP Lounge and to provide a luxurious gathering spot for our designer and collector friends.”
An exclusive cocktail reception will kick-off the annual fair on Tuesday, May 12. The fair’s opening will also mark the start of celebrations for Calvin Klein Home’s 20th anniversary.
