Ando's installation draws inspiration from the ephemeral qualities of nature—moonlight, clouds, and the passage of time—central themes in her artistic practice. By utilizing reflective materials, she invites viewers to engage with the transient beauty of the natural world, encouraging a meditative experience that blurs the boundaries between the artwork and its surroundings.Kavi Gupta Gallery+2Wikipedia+2Nancy Toomey Fine Art+2
Dead of Night was commissioned by the Haus der Kunst and showcased during the Munich Biennial, highlighting Ando's continued exploration of impermanence and the interplay between light and material. The installation exemplifies her commitment to creating spaces that foster reflection and a deeper connection to the natural elements that influence our perception of time and existence .
